Don't Diet, Menu-It!

Tell People You Are “Menu-ing” not Dieting!

This menu (diet) is used at Burlington, Alabana Hospital for cardiac

Patients who need to lose a lot of weight in a burry before having

Heart surgery.

 

A person can lose up to *forty (40) pounds in one month!

Drink one to two quarts daily of water, with lemon, which will aid in the weight loss.

 

This menu (diet) works as a chemical breakdown and is proven to work.  Do not vary or substitute any of these foods.  Salt and pepper may be used but no other seasoning.  Steaming your fresh vegetables with ¼ cup water in the microwave is wonderful!  You probably won’t even require any seasoning, they are so delicious!

 

This menu (diet) is to be used only three (3) days at a time.  In three days, weight loss will be visible.  After three days of menu-ing

(diet-ing) eat your usual meals, but do not overeat!  After four (4) days, go back to your “Three Day Menu”.

 

*Remember, you should check with your doctor before beginning any new diet plan.  Weight loss is different for each person. 

 

DAY ONE

Breakfast        Black coffee or tea

                ½ Grapefruit or juice

                1 Slice toast

                1 Tablespoon peanut butter

 

Lunch                ½ Cup tuna

                1 slice toast or cheese

                Black coffee or tea

 

Dinner        3 Ounces meat (any type)

                1 Cup green beans

                1 Cup carrots

                1 Apple

                1 Cup vanilla ice cream

 

DAY TWO

Breakfast        Black coffee or tea

                1 Egg scrambled in microwave or poached

                1 Slice toast

                ½ Banana

 

Lunch                1 cup cottage cheese or tuna (packed in water)

                5 saltine crackers

 

Dinner        2 Weiners steamed in microwave

                1 cup broccoli

                ½ Cup carrots

                ½ Banana

                ½ Cup vanilla ice cream

 

DAY THREE

Breakfast        Black coffee or tea

                5 Saltine crackers

                1 Slice cheddar cheese

                1 Small apple

 

Lunch                1 Hard boiled egg

                1 slice toast

                Black coffee or tea

 

Dinner        1 Cup tuna

                1 Cup carrots

                1 Cup cauliflower

                1 Cup cantaloupe

                ½ Cup vanilla ice cream

 

That’s all there is to it!  You will feel quite full after every meal.  Remember to eat sensibly on the days you are off your “Three-Day Menu”!
