Do Your Finances Frustrate You?

Do Your Finances Frustrate You?

By Kathlene R. Amerine

OK.  You are trying your hardest to accumulate money into your bank account!  It isn’t easy to have “more dollars left over in the bank” at the end of your paycheck!  What to do?  I hope to give you some “bankable” ideas in this report of “Do Your Finances Frustrate You?”  Let’s go!

I am going to list the “Habits and Characteristics Needed to Reach Your Projected Wealth Level”.

Those who are wealthy have certain habits and characteristics that those who are struggling to get by who are hoping to win the lottery to get them to a large bankable roll.  Habits that can be learned and practiced by all!  They are:

  • The wealthy save every month.
  • The wealthy stay out of debt.
  • The wealthy shop before they buy.
  • The wealthy buy used when they can.
  • The wealthy take care of all their stuff.
  • The wealthy invest in stocks.
  • The wealthy take time to plan their future.

1.      Save every month!  No matter what happens, pay yourself first and make it a habit.  The combination of systematic savings and compound growth is incredible!

2.      Pay cash for everything and avoid debt (except for your home mortgage.) If you can, refinance your mortgage with a smaller interest factor.  Use only low interest credit cards. Pay the balance due at the end of the month to protect unnecessary interest due.  Pay more each month on your mortgage if you can afford it.

3.      Before you buy, shop around at warehouse clubs; buy seasonal items out of season, learn to haggle, delay purchase of items you don’t really need.

4.      If you can find good quality in merchandise you want that is pre-owned, buy it!  Don’t be a fanatic about buying everything new!

5.      Develop the habit of taking care of what you own.  This requires simple maintenance and upkeep of your current products.

6.      Take some classes to develop a basic understanding of the stock and bond markets.  There are books and classes available that can teach you all you need to know to start investing.

7.      Finally, do your homework.  Take time to research options before making any investments; quick decisions can hurt you in the market.

So, to sum up what we have read here:

“To be really wealthy in life, you must have enough passion for what you do that you lose yourself in your work.  You must exercise discipline and patience whilst you are learning these new habits!  It is said a new habit takes 21 days to become a part of your life. So get going!  Don’t depend on winning the lottery.  Ok, buy that weekly ticket, but do it for fun!  And if perchance you do pick the winning Power Ball number, Wooo Hooo!  It will be icing on your cake!
